Is it worth learning C programming?

I am an ICT and I am currently on a placement year. In this year along with my work I would like to learn more programming languages. At the minute I am currently learning Javascript and PHP for they will come in VERY handy in my final year of Uni. But I want other experience such as C++, oracle, Java, Visual Basic etc. My question though is would it be useful learning C? Is it helpful when learning the other languages?
