The way I see it is that as a candidate it's easy to criticize the other guy, and make outrageous and goofy claims, then once you get the seat, you have to eat your words and you come away with an understanding of what the guy you criticized had to do in the first place. Someday a candidate will actually say, it's a tough job being President and before I beat up the other guy, I need to walk a mile in his shoes.
